FLOWER COMPETITION RULES & GUIDELINES:
ENTRY OVERVIEW
Entry Overview:
● Entry Fee: $100 per entry
● Entry Amount: 21 grams of flower per entry
● Each entry must be divided into 14 individual 1.5g containers
● Max Entry: 2 entries per competitor
● Judges: 10 community judges + 4 special guest judges
● Packaging: Official competition jars provided by the event
How It Works:
● Pay $100 per entry (up to 2 entries)
● Receive official packaging and instructions
● Submit 21g of flower, divided into 14 containers (1.5g each)
● Entries are anonymized and scored blindly by judges
● Winners will be announced during the award ceremony on September 27, 2025, at the Midwest Growers Symposium
Prizes:
● 1st Place: $2,000 + Midwest Growers Championship Belt
● 2nd Place: $1,000
● 3rd Place: $500
Entry Requirements:
Eligibility:
● Flower must be grown by the entrant
● No white label, third-party, infused, or treated flower allowed
Product Specs:
● 21g of cured, hand-trimmed flower
● Single strain/phenotype only
● No shake, larf, or uncured material
Packaging & Submission:
● You’ll receive 14 official competition jars per entry
● Competition entry must be portioned exactly 1.5g into each jar
● Entries must be received by August 23, 2025
● No strain names, branding, or identifying marks allowed
● Late or non-compliant entries will be disqualified
Judging Criteria:
Each entry will be evaluated by at least 5 judges, scoring 1-10 in the following categories:
● Bag Appeal
● Aroma
● Flavor
● Burn Quality
● Effect
Winners are determined by total average score.
Disqualifications:
● Late submissions
● All containers must have max 2g.
● Moldy or contaminated flower
● Attempts to reveal the identity of the entry
